The current situation

Things are going well for me these days. Sarah and I are back together and I’m going to move in with her in the bay area. I’m really excited since I leave on the 26th to start the adventure! Still trying to figure out exactly what I’m going to do down there. My options so far are: 1) work 2) take some classes 3) try to do americorps 4) just see where things take me. I think I’m realistically just going to work so I can pay my share of the rent since getting federal aid at the Community Colleges isn’t going to work. Although if i have the spare time while working I wouldn’t mind finishing off some more classes toward my certificate in drafting. Wouldn’t be a bad deal.

I was going to attend CSU East Bay next semester but Sarah took a job in Santa Rosa next semester. With the driving time to CSU East Bay being the same as it would be to go to CSU Chico, I’ll just be going here. I looked into Sonoma State but their admissions closed way before Sarah and I decided to live together; plus, their program just doesn’t look as good.

Civil Engineering turned out to be a fucking sham of a major. I decided this about half way through statics and differentials. I can hang with statics but I never want to do another differential — maybe just not with that particular teacher at least. What I’ve decided on is Environmental Science. What I haven’t decided on is the particular option I want to do. Luckily I have a semester left to decide that as all the classes I have picked will work for all of the options. Only problem with the major is that I have a few 100 series classes to complete in it. So far it’s just Geos 102, Chem 112, Biol 151, and Biol 152 that I have to do in the next semester or two. The good news is that I might be able to get at least the first Biol class waived.

Somewhere through the passing of time I found what I was looking for; now if only I knew what it meant in the first place.
